It was one of those days for the Hermiston Lacrosse teams. Bend plays a very physical game at both levels as you can see here. Photo by Terry Aichele

HERMISTON-The Hermiston varsity Lacrosse team lost their game 4-0. The JVs had a slightly better time but still lost 3-2 on Friday.
The 'Dawgs JVs were down 2-0 at the end of the first half. They never got too down even with the Lava Bears physical style of play.
The third quarter was a tough fought scoreless period.
The fourth quarter was scoreless until there was about four minutes to go. Trevor Wells and Tori Espinoza were about to turn things around for the 'Dawgs. At that point out of slug of players in front of the Bend goal the ball came flying out towards the goal for a score. Then about 30 seconds later the 'Dawgs found a seam that allowed them to grab another goal tying things up at 2-2.
With just seconds to go in the game Bend came back pressuring the Hermiston defenders and goalie until they finally slammed one in to take the win at 3-2.
Following the game little Haylee McKern helped to pick up the markers from the endzone.
