HERMISTON-Another of a series of Mexican Rodeos with Bullriding by Promociones Colima took place Sunday, August 17, 2008 at the Farm-City Pro Rodeo Arena at the Umatilla County Fair Grounds.
It was one of the hottest days of the summer with the temperature hovering around 106 when the tail show started up around 4:50 p.m.
The horses and stock seemed to be affected by the heat just like the people.
The crowd sought out shade and cooler spots around the arena until 7:30 or so when the temperature dropped into the high 90's.
Results of the bullriding were not available on Sunday night.
Upcoming scheduled Promociones Colima rodeos are scheduled for September 7, September 28, October 5 and the season finale will be on October 26.

The bullriding event started around 7:30 p.m. The Promociones Colima rodeo management have moved away from the traditional Mexican style bullriding to the North American style of bullriding like you would see at PBR event or at local county fair rodeos. The payouts have also increased. Photos by Terry Aichele
