UMATILLA - The Umatilla Vikings defeated the Riverside Pirates in junior varsity soccer action 1-0 on Thursday afternoon. It was a sunny and warm afternoon with the temperature about 70 degrees for the three o'clock game.

The single goal came off a penalty kick in about the 30th minute of the first half of action.
