Hermiston Lacrosse Drops Match To Summit

Summit won 11-5

HERMISTON - The Hermiston varisty lacrosse team played Summit on Saturday, April 11, 2009. Summit won 11-5. It was a close game in the opening minutes of the first period. Summit took a 2-0 lead in the first four minutes of the match. Hermiston's Tyler Hoffert scored about five minutes into the match to close to 2-1. With the score 4-1 in the second period when Andrew Ferguson scored to close the gap to 4-2. Summit led at the end of the first 5-2. Peyton Hobbs of Hermiston scored at about the ten minute mark of the second period. Summit had a good second period scoring three to make the score at the half of 8-3.

Summit continued to control the match in the Hermiston zone during the second half. Hermiston scored once in the third. Summit led at the end of the third 9-4. Tyler Hoffert scored Hermiston's last goal late in the game. The final score had Summit winning 11-5.
