Even with this amazing catch the Stanfield Tigers were unable to defeat the Heppner Mustangs

STANFIELD - The Stanfield Tigers were held scoreless as the Heppner Mustangs defeated them
by the score of 5-0 on Tuesday, April 21, 2009. The Mustang pitcher, Chance Day, struck out
18 Tigers on his way to the complete game win. Losing pitcher for the Tigers was Mario Madrigal.
The Tigers just couldn't get anything going at the plate. Heppner's Day kept the Tigers off
balance the whole game. The Tigers only got three runners on base over the course of the
entire game.
Heppner scored one run in each of the first three innings to have a 3-0 lead at the end of
three innings. The Mustangs then scored two runs in the top of the fifth to take a 5-0 lead.
That was it for the scoring in the game.
