BOARDMAN - The Weston McEwen TigerScots defeated the Riverside Pirates 11-3 in a single
game played on Tuesday, April 28, 2009.
The TigerScots scored three runs in the top of the first. The Pirates came right back in the
bottom of the first with two runs. Cody Fredrickson scored on a grounder by Matt Hyder. Then
with bases loaded Trevor Graff scored from third when Evan Keefer was walked forcing in Graff.
The score at the end of the first had Weston McEwen leading 3-2.
The TigerScots then scored two runs in the top of the second inning. The Pirates scored in the
bottom of the fourth to cut WM lead to 5-3. The TigerScots scored five runs in the top of the
fifth inning forcing Riverside to switch pitchers. The score at the end of the fifth had
Weston McEwen leading 10-3. The TigerScots scored one more run in the top of the seventh giving
them the win with a score of 11-3.
