The Jack Taylor groundedout but drove in Fisher for a run. Stanfield led at the end of three 4-2.

The Pioneers worked themselves into what could have been a long inning in the top of the seventh. Western Mennonite had the bases loaded with no outs. Bryan Johnson went out and talked to Grogan. Grogan stayed in. A few pitches later a wild pitch allowed Hiroki Nishimura to score making the score 5-3. Then Grogan took control with Logan Mordhorst flying out. Then strikingout Sam Garber. Finally Jared Garza flew out giving the Tigers the 5-3 win and the trip to Portland Christian.
"I'm feeling confident right now." said Mario Madrigal after the game. "I'm hoping to pitch Friday against Portland Christian. I'm excited and ready to go."
"It felt good." said winning Stanfield pitcher Quin Grogan. "I came out wanting to pitch today. We came out pretty confident. Everyone wanted to hit. Once we all relaxed and settled in we did really well. I told coach Johnson that I wanted to go the whole game today."
Did he worry about loading up the bases in the top of the seventh? "I got a little worried but it's happened before and I've pulled through."
