ECHO - The Helix Lady Grizzlies defeated the Echo Cougars 65-37 on Friday, January 15, 2010. The Grizzlies dominated the first, third and fourth quarters. The Cougars only scored 15 points in the second half. The Grizzlies had four players in double figures for the game. Kylee Rogers of Helix led all the scorers with 26 points. Her teammates with double figures were Chyanne Hack with 18, Addie Terjeson with 11 and Megan Schroeder with 10. Top scorers with Echo were Shilah Hilliard with 13 and Ryanne Tarvin and Kristen McCallum each with 8.

Helix took control in the first period outscoring Echo 18-10. Echo pulled themselves into the game matching Helix point for point with each side scoring 12 during the second period. Helix shot a blistering 50% in the first half. Echo shot 29%. Helix led at halftime 30-22.

Echo shot 25% in the second half. Helix shot a still powerful 42.9% in the second half. Overall Helix shot 46.3% and Echo shot 27.5%. Helix hit 51% of their freethrows for the game. Echo hit 56% of their freethrows overall.
