ECHO - The Echo Cougars defeated the Horizon Hawks 55-49 on Saturday, January 16, 2010. Echo scored well in the first period leading 16-7 at the end of the first period. While Horizon tied or outscored the Cougars it wasn't enough to overcome Echo's lead. It's interesting that Echo scored 13 points in the second, third and fourth periods. Horizon also scored 13 in the third period.

The leading scorer overall was Tanner Petitt of Horizon with 19 points. The leading scorer for Echo was Jorge Munoz with 17. Other Cougar high scorers were Jeremy Cisneros with 13, Jacob Eby with 9, and Bryan Ibarra with 8. Horizon's other high scorers were Ramon Martinez with 16 and Jordan Anderson with 8.

Echo hit 43.5% of their shots with Horizon making 34%. Echo hit 12 of 22 freethrows for 54.5%. Horizon hit 56.3% of their freethrows.
