IRRIGON - The Echo Cougars defeated the Condon Wheeler Knights 46-44 in Big Sky playoff action at Irrigon on Tuesday, February 16, 2010. The top scorers for Echo were Jorge Munoz with 16, Glen Swanger with 13 followed by Jacob Eby with 7 and Jeremy Cisneros with 6. Condon Wheeler top scorers were Tyler Urbach with 13 followed by Cole MacInnes with 8, Justin Phillips with 7 and Billy Jaeger with 5.

Echo led at the end of the first period 18-9. Both teams scored 8 points in the second period but the Cougars maintained the lead at halftime 26-17. Condon Wheeler outscored Echo in the third 9-7 but Echo still held onto the lead with the score 33-26. The Cougar faithful must have gotten a little worried in the fourth as the Knights outscored Echo 18-13. The final minutes must have nail biting time but the Cougars held on to win 46-44.

Condon Wheeler had the higher fieldgoal percentage at 36.7% compared to Echo's 35.1%. Echo was 0 for 6 from the three point arc while Condon Wheeler hit 4 of 16 for 25%. Condon Wheeler hit 40% of their freethrows compared to Echo's 37.5%.
