Summit Defeats Hermiston

HERMISTON - The Summit Storm scored 6 goals in the second half caming from behind to defeat the Hermiston Bulldogs 9-8 in lacrosse action on Thursday, April 15, 2010.

Hermiston's Kolton Bodigheimer scored the first goal at 10:52 of the first quarter. Tyler Hoffert scored next for the Dawgs at 9:27 of the first quarter. Quinn Burkett the scored for the Summit Storm at 8:48 of the first. Hoffert scored again for Hermiston at 4:23 of the first. T-Roy Brown scored for the Storm at the 3:36 mark of the first. Hermiston led at the end of the first 3-2.

Hoffert completed a hat trick scoring his third goal for Hermiston at 11:35 of the second period. Summit's T-Roy Brown scored his second goal at 9:57 of the second quarter. Kolton Bodigheimer of Hemriston scored his second goal at 7:22 of the second. Mutt Cecil scored with three minutes to go in the half giving Hermiston the 6-3 lead at halftime.

Glenn Sherman of Summit scored first at 11:29 in the third quarter. Less than a minute later the Storm's T-Roy Brown scored cutting Hermiston's lead to 6-5. Tanner Fraser then scored for Hermiston giving the Bulldogs the 7-5 lead. Quinn Burkett then scored at 9:51 for the Storm. Kyler Records then scored for Hermiston at 6:30 on a crossing shot. Willy Ross then hit a goal for Summit at 2:21 to go in the third. Hermiston led at the end of the third by a score of 8-7.

The Storm held Hermiston scoreless in the fourth while scoring two goals to take the win. The first goal of the fourth for the Storm came 8:04 by Willy Ross tieing up the score at 8-8. The Storm's winning goal came at 7:28 on a shot by Breck Caldwell. The Storm ran out the clock by playing ball control for the remainder of the match.
