Irrigon Splits Doubleheader With Pilot Rock

Pilot Rock won 3-2 / Irrigon won 16-4 (5 innings)

IRRIGON - The Irrigon Knights split a doubleheader with the Pilot Rock Rockets on Saturday, April 24, 2010. The winds were blowing out to center field for the baseball game. Giving the teams plenty of opportunities for playing long ball.

Irrigon players going yard included Dustin Osborne with three, Colton Garrett with 2 and Giles Ellett with one.

The day was overcast with a strong wind. Pilot Rock won the first game 3-2.

Game 2
The second game was like homerun derby. Irrigon racked up six homeruns in the second game. By the top of the fifth inning Irrigon led 13-4. In the bottom of the fifth Irrigon fired up the scoring machine with with two out. Colton Garrett hit to deep left field. Next Ricky Amburgy hit to left field. That set up Giles Ellett's homerun to deep center field scoring three runs. Giving Irrigon the 16-4 win under the ten run rule.


Jesus Munoz pitched for Irrigon in the second game of the double header on Saturday. Irrigon won 16-4 in five innings. LEFT [img_1126] - RIGHT [img_1127]
