IRRIGON -
The Echo Lady Cougars traveled to Irrigon and defeated the Knights 53-18 on Tuesday, December
7, 2010. While both teams had early season weaknesses the Cougars played a more physical
style of basketball that dominated the Knights.
Echo led in the opening moments of the game 4-0 at 6:25. Irrigon got on the scoreboard with
a jump shot by Madisyn Cadek at the 5 minute mark. Echo ended up outscoring Irrigon 20 to 4
in the first period.
Echo outscored Irrigon 11-6 in the second period. Scoring for the Cougars included Loren Elligsen,
Kristen McCallum and Taylor Tarvin. Scoring for Irrigon were Celina Munoz, Jessika Osborne and
Cheyenne McKenney. Echo led at halftme 31-10.
Echo scored 18 points in the third to Irrigon's 4. Cougars scoring in the third period included
Taylor Tarvin, Kirsten McCallum, Ashley Chandler and Ryanne Taylor. Echo led at the end of the
third 49-14.
Scoring slowed for both teams in the fourth period. Both teams scored 4 points each. The
Cougars scoring were Loren Elligsen, Chantel Souza and Ashley Chandler. Scoring for the
Knights came from Ashli Roberts and Adriana Sanchez. Echo won 53-18.
