HERMISTON - The Hermiston Lady Bulldogs defeated the Pendleton Bucks 78-52 on Friday, February 18, 2011. Hermiston led from the start of the game and dominated play throughout the balance of the game.

Hermiston took the early lead in the opening minute of the game with a three pointer by Andrea Waters. Scoring for Hermiston in the first period were Waters, Gracie Flyg, Maloree Moss and Jeni Hoffert. Scoring for Pendleton was Rayne Spencer, Andrea Hellstrand and Brittany Gregerson. Hermiston led at the end of the first 18-8.

Pendleton outscored Hermiston 10-8 in the second period but Hermiston still led by eight at the end of the period. Scoring for Hermiston in the second were Maloree Moss, Andrea Waters and Kirsten Shockman. Scoring for Pendleton in the second were Courtney Schumacher-Sweek, Brittany Gregerson, Nelly Arroyo, Gabrielle Heehn and Andrea Hellstrand. Hermiston led 26-18 at the half.

The third period was a big scoring one for both teams with Hermiston outscoring Pendleton 26-22. Scoring for Hermiston in the third were Courtney Walchli, Maloree Moss, Jeni Hoffert, and Saraya Wise. Pendleton's scoring came from Rayne Spencer, Andrea Hellstrand, Shelby Sanders, Brittany Gregerson and Gabrielle Heehn. Hermiston led 52-40 at the end of the third period.

Hermiston dominated the scoring in the fourth period 26-12. Scoring for Hermiston in the fourth were Maloree Moss, Kirsten Shockman, Andrea Waters, Callahan Crossley, Kirsten Shockman, Sarah Hawman and Emily Stocker. Moss and Waters each hit treys. Hermiston won the game 78-52.
