BOARDMAN -
The Burns HiLanders defeated the Riverside Pirates 3-0 with set scores of 25-5, 25-11 and 25-10.
The Burns HiLanders played a tough first set with only four players serving in the set. The
long runs of serve came from Brittainy Houck, Charli Siegner, Maddye Dinsmore and Abbey Fenton.
Maddye Dinsmore served for a run 9 points which included three aces. Burns took the first
set 25-11.
Riverside was able win more sideouts in the second set but Burns still dominated with three aces
and three kills. Riverside did pick up kills from Ivonne Dominguez and aces from Marissa Pratt
and Gabrielle Ganvoa. Burns won the second set 25-11.
Burns took control of the serves again in the third set. The HiLanders served three aces in the
third. Burns won the third set 25-10.
