Echo - The Echo Cougars defeated the Irrigon Knights 51-37 on Friday, December 2, 2011 as part of the Echo Hoops Invitational. The Cougars controlled the game from the opening tip.

Echo started off the first period going out to a 7-0 lead in the first five minutes of play. Scoring for Echo were Treve Moffit and Esau Ibarra. Irrigon scored on a jumper by Sean Barron. Echo led at the end of the first 10-2.

Irrigon went on a scoring run in the first two minutes of the second period tieing the Cougars at 10-10. The Knights scoring came on treys by Adrian Romero and Martin Garcilazo and a layup by Osvaldo Macias. Then the Knights went cold and Echo went on a 17 point run with scoring by CJ Flores, Jeramy Cisneros, Esau Ibarra and Brian Gutierrez. Echo led 27-12 at the half.

Echo outscored Irrigon 12-5 in the third period. Scoring for Echo in the third were CJ Flores, Esau Ibarra and Brian Gutierrez. Scoring for Irrigon were Adrian Romero and Jose Romero. Echo led 39-17 at the end of the third period.

Irrigon outscored Echo 20-12 in the fourth period but the Echo lead was too big to overcome. Scoring for Irrigon were Anthony Landeros, Adrian Romero and Zach Rice. Echo scoring came from CJ Flores and Brian Gutierrez. Echo won 51-37.
