ECHO - The Echo Cougars defeated the Irrigon Knights in a close game by the score of 46-42. Top scorer overall was Jose Romero of Irrigon with 16 points followed by Adrian Romero with 12. The highest scoring Cougar was Reve Moffit with 11 and Jeramy Cisneros with 10 points. Echo outshot Irrigon 34.7% to 28.1%. Key to the win for Echo may have been their freethrow shooting as they hit 55.2%.

The first four minutes of the game was even with the teams exchanging the lead. Then Echo went on a scoring run of six points to take a 10-4 lead. The teams then exchanged scoring with Echo leading 16-10 at the buzzer ending the first period. Scoring for Echo in the first period were Esau Ibara, CJ Flores, Jeramy Cisneros and Treve Moffit.

Irrigon outscored Echo 13-10 in the second period but Echo held onto a three point lead at halftime. Scoring for Irrigon were Jose Romero, Ernesto Aguilera and Adrian Romero. Echo's scoring came from Dylan Enright, CJ Flores, Esau Ibara and Treve Moffit. Echo led 26-13 at halftime.

Echo outscored Irrigon 11-6 in the third period stretching their lead to 37-29.

Irrigon outscored Echo 13-9 in the fourth period but that only chipped away at Echo's lead. Irrigon's scoring was driven by Ernesto Aguilera, Anthony Landeros, Jose Romero and Adrian Romero hit two treys in the last two minutes. Echo tried to control the pace of the game in the fourth with scoring from CJ Flores, Dylan Enright, Jeramy Cisneros and Esau ibara. Echo won the game by four points, 46-42.
