Enterprise won 56-41

IRRIGON - The Enterprise Lady Outlaws defeated the Irrigon Knights 56-41 on Saturday, December 17, 2011. Knights were in high spirits follwoing their 72-69 win over Pilot Rock in overtime on Friday night. The Knights unfortunately had a couple slow quarters that let Enterprise control the game.

The game started off fairly even in the first quarter with the teams tied or exchanging the lead five times. Tessa McLaughlin scored first for the Knights on a jumper. Also scoring for the Knights in the first were Cheyanne Hackett, Andrea Gasparova, Madisyn Cadek and Nathalie Campos. Scoring for the Outlaws were Elsa Steen, Whitney Schaefer, Hayley Riggs and Myranda McFetridge. Enterprise led 15-13 and the end of the first quarter.

The Enterprise Outlaws outscored Irrigon 16-8 in the second quarter. Scoring for Enterprise were Hayley Riggs, Shelby Graning, Elsa Steen and Maria Stangel. Scoring for Irrigon were Madisyn Cadek and Celina Munoz. Enterprise led 31-19 at the half.

Things slowed down for both teams in the third quarter with Enterprise outscoring Irrigon 10-7. Scoring for Enterprise were Elsa Steen, Whitney Schaefer and Kylie Wills. Irrigon's scoring came from came on a steal and layup by Tessa Mclaughlin, a jump shot by Andrea Gasparova, freethrows by Nathalie Campos and Tessa McLaughlin. Enterprise led 41-26 at the end of the third quarter.

Things picked up the fourth quarter with both teams scoring 15 points each. Among the scorers for Enterprise wwre Shelby Graning, Whitney Schaefer, Amy Edison and Kylie Wills. Scoring for irrigon in the fourth were Cheyanne Hackett, Celina Munoz, Tessa McLaughlin, Andrea Gasparova, Karmen Garrett and Gabriela Villarreal. The final score had Enterprise winning 56-41.
