IRRIGON -
The Irrigon Lady Knights defeated the Milton-Freewater Pioneers 51-23 on Tuesday, December 27,
2011. It was a very good for the Knights winning by 28 points. Irrigon held Mac-Hi to just seven
points in the entire first half. The Knights generally played a fast paced game that left Mac-Hi
trying to catch up with increased frustration.
Mac-Hi scored first to take a 2-0 lead. Moments later Nathalie Campos hit two free throws
to tie up the game. Madisyn Cadek then scored on a fastbreak layup and a free throw to give the
Knights the 5-2 lead. Irrigon controlled scoring for the rest of the game from that point on with
4:47 to go in the first quarter. Also scoring in the first were Karmen Garrett and Adriana Sanchez.
Irrigon led at the end of the first 13-5.
Irrigon outscored Mac-Hi 11-2 in the second quarter. Scoring for Irrigon in the second were
Celina Munoz, Karmen Garrett, Andrea Gasparova and Tessa McLaughlin. Irrigon led by 17 at
halftime 24-7.
Irrigon out scored Mac-Hi 16-10 in the third quarter. Mac-Hi scored more points in the third
than in the entire first half. Scoring for Irrigon in the third were Nathalie Campos, Madisyn
Cadek, Andrea Gasparova and Karmen Garrett. Irrigon led at the end of the third 40-17.
