HEPPNER -
Heppner, Oregon hosted the Morrow County Fair during the week of August 13-19, 2012. This is
a look at some of the activities that took place on Friday, August 17, 2012.
The Morrow County Fair Grounds are nice, clean and modern. The focus is on agriculture, 4H and
FFA activities. The Oregon Trail Pro Rodeo takes place in the evenings. It's a very enjoyable way
to spend a day.
The food is first rate and the elephant ears are a tasty snack. Like so many places this summer,
the elephant ears vendor had a long line waiting for the sugar and cinnomon treat.
A new covered dining area just off the food vendors court was dedicated Friday afternoon. A
committee with people from across Morrow County worked together in the planning and construction
of the facility.
Hypnotist Russ Peak put a show that was enjoyed by the participants and audience. It's always
interesting to watch the power of suggestion in action.
The evening Oregon Trail Pro Rodeo moved briskly from muttin' bustin' through the final event.
