IRRIGON -
The Irrigon Knights completely dominated the Heppner Mustangs defeating them 81-30 on
Tuesday, Janurary 8, 2012. The Knights went on a 31 to zero run for at least nine minutes
during the third and fourth quarters to take a 58-19 lead.
Picking up action at the start of the second quarter with Irrigon leading 27-19. Irrigon
was on the way to a 29-0 run in the third quarter. Knights scoring in the second quarter
included Jose Romero, Adrian Romero, Francisco Nunez, Fredy Vera, Anthony Landeros,
Ernesto Aguilera and Osvaldo Macias. Irrigon led 56-19 at the end of the second quarter.
Irrigon's amazing scoring pace slowed slightly in the third quarter 12-3. Scoring for
Irrigon were Anthony Landeros, Jose Romero and Eric Vera. Irrigon led at the end of the
third 68-22.
Irrigon out scored Heppner 13-8 in the fourth quarter. Players scoring for Irrigon included
Jose Romero, Eric Vera and Adrian Romero. Irrigon won the game 81-30.
