HERMISTON - The Hanford Falcons of Richland, Washington defeated the Hermiston Bulldogs 68-38 on Tuesday, December 9, 2014. It was a small crowd in attendance for the game with the visitors from Washington.
Hanford started the scoring with a trey at 7:06 of the first quarter. Hermiston didn't let that faze them and came back to take the 7-5 lead at 5:12. Hanford tied it 7-7 on a jumper and the lead 9-7 for good at 3:40. Scoring for Hermiston in the first were Keegan Crafton, Chase Knutz, Landon Gammell and Cole Smith. Hanford led 20-13 at the end of the first quarter.
Hanford outscored Hermiston 18-10 in the second quarter. It took Hermiston nearly four minutes to score their first points on a jumper by Dillon Zimmerly. Other Dawgs scoring in the second quarter included Keegan Crafton, Cole Smith and Austin Nailon. Hanford led at halftime 38-23.
Hanford continued their dominance in the third quarter outscoring Hermiston 18-9. Austin Nailon started the half off by hitting a trey. It would be nearly five minutes later when Chance Flores hit a jumper. Also scoring for the Dawgs in the third was Carson Lloyd. Hanford led at the end of the third quarter 56-32.
Hanford led scoring in the fourth quarter 12-6. Dawgs scoring in the fourth included Dillon Zimmerly and Kody Hamlin. Hanford defeated the Dawgs 68-38.
