Columbia Basin Conference Track and Field Championship at Stanfield

STANFIELD - Stanfield hosted the OSAA 2A-5 Columbia Basin Conference Track and Field Championship on Friday May 15, 2015. It was overcast and breezy with the temperature around 70 degrees.

Irrigon dominated on the mens side of the competition coming in first place by 67 points 205.5 over Stanfield with 138.5 points. Next in third place was Heppner with 96 points, Culver in fourth with 83 points, Pilot Rock in fifth with 51 points and Weston-McEwen in sixth place with 19 points.

Some of the top performers on the men's side included Carlos Zacarias of Irrigon with a first in the 100M with a time of 11.31, a first in the 200M with a time of 22.90 and firsts with the 4x100M and 4x400M relay teams.

Hunter Braithwaite of Stanfield came in first in the 400M with a time of 52.24 and first in the 300M hurdles with a time of 42.47.

Xavier Rambo of Irrigon came in first in the long jump with a leap of 20'4.50" then he came in first in the triple jump with a distance of 41'05" nearly three feet longer than second place.

On the ladies side Stanfield came in first with 169 points, then Pilot Rock in second with 88 points, Heppner in third with 85 points, in fourth place Culver with 84 points, Weston-McEwen in fifth with 75 points and in sixth place Irrigon with 29 points.

Some of the top lady performers included Rachel Willingham of Pilot Rock with a first in 300M hurdles with 50.90 and first with the 4x100M relay team. Madison Carlin of Weston McEwen came in fist in the 100M in 13.22 and first in the pole vault with 8'00" vault. Kelly Wilson of Heppner came in first in the long jump with 16'00.5", first in the triple jump with 32'00.25" and first in the shot put with a 28'05" toss.
